Pumpkin Patch

Today I took Shane to Bandy's Pumpkin Patch. We go every year. It was very cold and drizzly outside but it was still a good time. We went on a hayride and then got to play in the barn. Again...it was soooo cold but Shane enjoyed the "punkins".

Apple Festival and Shane's Party

On Apple Festival Parade Day we had Shane's Birthday Party with our family. It was a great time. My brother and I decided to do the 5K Walk/Run before the parade. It was a lot of fun and we even got 2nd and 3rd place in the walk for our age group!

Shane's 2nd Bday

Yes this is a little late :) Shane turned 2 on Sept 2nd. We had a little celebration on his actual birthday at home.

His cake was supposed to be RED!! I screwed it up of course! lol

He didn't mind....it was still yummy!

So on August 13th my dad turned the BIG 50! My brothers and mom and I all got together and planned him an amazing surprise birthday party at Mackie's Pizza in Marion. It was sooo wonderful and the food there is always great!

So with Shane moved into the bigger room, Jarod and I had to move to the smaller room. I actually LOVE it. We didn't think we could downsize but actually it turned out nice!

Now I want to go buy a new comforter set...if Jarod will let me :) We've had this one since we got married.

Shane's big boy room

Well after some much needed summer clean-up/painting/yard sale etc, we finally switched rooms with Shane so he could have a bigger room that he will eventually be sharing with a brother/sister. So we got him a twin bed and made his "big boy" side of the room. He is still not out of his crib yet but i'm not pushing it! He still doesn't even know how to climb out of his crib yet!

Summer Fun

Friday we went to my Uncle Don's in Perryville, MO. Shane met his little cousin, Reagan for the very first time. They are 1 month apart and are so cute! They had so much fun together. Shane kissed her before we left as you can see :)

My uncle Don owns lots of land and they have horses. Of course Shane had a blast petting and feeding the "horsey's"

Mommy took some time to go get her hair colored and cut!
