Bed Rest

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 38 week appointment. All is well, Baby Shane looks good but I have developed hypertension. So to make a long story short I am on bed rest until this little guy comes into the world! I am not confined to a bed (thank God) but I do have to just "take it easy" for the next 9 days until I get induced. But hopefully he will decide to come before that induction date! We don't have a date set yet......as we will discuss that at my next appointment on Tuesday (September 4th).

I am open to anyone dropping by and delivering me Dairy Queen or Snow Cones or anything else sweet! Just kidding! I'm trying to catch up on some much deserved rest before Shane comes as well as tackle some small projects like filling out the first part of his baby book and catching up on my soap opera's! haha. Hopefully the next week will fly by! Have a wonderful 3-day weekend everyone! Keep checking for soon to be pics of our little guy!

The full moon has come and past and still no baby! I have to admit I was a little disappointed considering EVERYONE I talked to said if their babies were due on or around a full moon that they came that night! I guess Shane will come when he is good and ready and we are fine with that! I go back to the doctor Thursday so maybe I have made a lot of progress and she will send me on to labor & delivery! Hip Mom

So I decided that I needed a new hair style to go along with becoming a new mom! I wanted something that was super easy to style and yet stylish! haha. So here it is! I am getting used to using less shampoo and conditioner and learning how to style it!

Our Niece

Meet our niece Miss Daisy. She is 2 years old and we couldn't be more proud of her! She is such a joy to be around and she is very excited about getting a new cousin soon! We went to see her this weekend and here are a few pictures we snapped.

Baby Shower

Our baby shower was this past Friday (August 3rd). We decided to have an open house so that people could come and go as they pleased after work. It was a hit! We had a great turnout and lots of great gifts! Here are some pics of our shower. Sorry there are none of me :( I was busy!
