Nursery is done!

We were very busy this weekend! But by the grace of God we mananged to finish putting together all the furniture and finish up! So we are officially "ready" for a baby in this room! Hooray! Here are some pics of all angles of the room.

34 weeks prego!

Well here I am.......34 weeks pregnant. I feel like I am getting bigger by the day now instead of by the week! All in all I feel good but I am starting to have more Braxton-Hicks (false) contractions.....and heartburn.....and indigestion....okay so maybe I don't feel 100% great all the time! haha Maybe this means baby Shane will come a little early! (I would like that!) We dont' want him to come earlier than he is ready though.

Our little man

Here is a 4-D picture of our little guy. His hand is ALWAYS up by his face in every ultrasound we have ever had. I wonder if he will sleep like this after he is born. It must be comfy!! We already love him so much! Seeing him was extra special! It gives us such great anticipation for his arrival.

Baby Shane is coming soon!

These are just a few items that Daddy came home with to show Mommy that he was indeed "excited" about the new baby coming. Jarod really shocked me with this stuff. He did a GREAT job picking out these items and it really made my day:)

Jarod's grandfather hand carved this cradle for Baby Shane. He even included a small "time capsule" that is on one of the sides of the cradle. We cannot open it until Baby Shane is 18. How special right?! It is absolutely beautiful!!

We FINALLY got motivated this weekend to start on the nursery. Jarod put together the crib and we started organizing everything. It looks a lot better since this picture. This was kind of a "before" shot. I'll have to post a picture when the other furniture arrives.

Meet Colby

Colby was our first baby! He is the cutest little puppy ever and is really very good. He is so hyper and full of energy. However, he knows who's boss and listens to Jarod much better than me! It will be interesting to see how he reacts to a "new person" coming into the family. He is very interested in smelling Shane's bed, clothes, and anything in the nursery. Hopefully we can keep him out of everything. We love him so much and wouldn't trade him for anything.

Welcome to our blogger. I have decided to create this to help keep everyone up to date on us! Especially family members who unfortunately live farther away from us than we would like. So for now it is just Jarod and I......but in a few weeks it will be a family of three when Baby Shane makes his grand appearance!
